INFANT CARE AND EDUCATION
At Children's Day School, our infant teachers provide responsive, consistent, and developmentally attuned care that supports the foundational growth of our youngest learners. Guided by the Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards (CT ELDS), educators design individualized experiences that nurture each infant's cognitive, physical, social-emotional, and language development. Infant schedules are tailored to each child's unique rhythms and routines, with families actively contributing feeding and sleep preferences to ensure continuity of care. Teachers use the Connecticut Documentation & Observation for Teaching System (CT DOTS) to observe, document, and assess each child's development progress. These observations inform intentional planning of experiences that promote emerging skills. Â
