GIVING

Children's Day School
Scientific research from the past quarter century tells us that the human brain grows to 85% of its adult size between conception and age 3.  This simple biological fact has direct implications for the support of human development during the earliest years of life.  Financial support to enable quality, healthy development during this time in the life of children will pay dividends far into the future.  Delayed, damaged, or insufficient development is very difficult and expensive to correct later in life.
If we do not empower parents, teachers and caregivers to focus on the essence of knowledge and quality for children during their earliest years, it is to the detriment of our children, families, communities and nation.

Children’s Day School provides a nurturing and supportive environment for all children while providing quality and affordable early childhood education. Your support to our Annual Fund helps bring learning to life by providing opportunities and programs to our school through:
  • developmentally appropriate curriculum based on the Connecticut Frameworks for early childhood development
  • music curriculum, with an emphasis on diverse world cultures (rhythms, languages, instruments, etc.)
  • field trips
  • swimming classes for our preschool 4 year-old children
  • in-house enrichment programs
  • transportation to community enrichment opportunities such as Safety Town
  • financial aid through the Heimbold Tuition Assistance Fund
  • additional technology
  • faculty and staff development opportunities and increased benefits
Your gift directly benefits the children of CDS. Please consider a gift to support the health and growth of our school.
